Gentofte Figure Skating Club (GKF) would like to invite you to our Figure skating summer camp 2024 in Gentofte, close to Copenhagen. For the athletes, we are offering different practice packages for the different levels.
The camp starts Monday the 29th of July and ends Friday 2nd of August 2024.
We have following groups:
- Junior / Senior (minimum all double jumps & working on or landing 2 A & triple jumps) M1 Junior/Senior and E
- Intermediate novice / Advanced novice until 15 years (minimum all double jumps and working on 2 A & triple jumps) M1Debs-Novice M2 Springs
- Junior B / Senior B (some double jumps & working on the rest of double jumps) K old/E
- Chicks / Novice C (minimum all single jumps, axel and practicing /or including double jumps) Cubs Springs Debs M2Cubs
- Skaters until age of 10 years (only single jumps and practicing single axel and double jumps) Basic F2y.
- Skaters from the age of 11 years old (only single jumps and practicing single axel and double jumps) F2y F2o F1

When signing up for the camp you must find the one that best describes you as a skater. Look at jumps AND age.

Practice:
Group 1 – 4:
- Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (10 x 50 min.)
- Skating Skills / Expression (5 x 50 min.)
- Dancing / ballet / dance workout (3 x 50 min.)
- Athletics (5 x 50 min.)
Group 5 - 6:
- Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (10 x 50 min.)
- Dancing / ballet / dance workout (3 x 50 min.)
- Athletics (5 x 50 min.)
The size of the groups for technique training on ice:
Our goal is to be no more than 6 athletes per coach but in some cases there might be more. The minimum size of each group is 4 and might be filled up with skaters from other groups.
In some cases, the groups might be mixed.

Group 6-7
Price 1.900 Dkk

Accommodation needs to be booked separately and is not incl. in the camp price.

Insurance
Make sure that you bring your blue European health certificate.
Responsibility
The organizer is not held liable for you or your health on or off the ice. All skaters who are under the age of 18 years should travel with a parent or guardian.
Younger skaters that are not able to tie their own skates should bring parent to help them during the camp.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation, a written form is required. We will return 50% of the booking when the written cancellation is done 1/1 2024 – 31/03.2024.
After 01.04.2024 we will charge 100% of the booking.
If you have to cancel due to injury then 75% of the booking will be returned but proof of injury have to be provided.
Photo and video
By signing up to the camp you also give us permission to take video and pictures and use it on social media.

Skating equipment and sharpening.
Sate-Bootique will join us on the first day of the camp. Please write them if you have special requests.

| Helen (Olena) Tytenko
Helen is originally from Ukraine but moved to Finland 11 years ago. She has been head coach at Tarmo in Varkaus Finland for almost four years and during this period she has moved the club to a whole new level. In 2023, Helen was awarded the “Educator Coach of the Year” award by the Finnish Figure Skating Association.
Helen speaks Finnish, English, and Ukrainian.
