SUMMER CAMP IN 


DENMARK - GENTOFTE

 


When and where:

Gentofte Figure Skating Club (GKF) would like to invite you to our Figure skating summer camp 2025 in Gentofte, near Copenhagen. For the athletes, we are offering different practice packages for the different levels.

The camp starts Monday the 21th of July and ends Friday 25th of July 2025.


We have following groups:

  1. Junior / Senior (minimum 2 A & 1-2 triple jumps )
  2. Junior B / Senior B (double jumps & working on 2 A & triple jumps)
  3. Intermediate novice / Advanced novice until 15 years (minimum all double jumps and working on 2 A & triple jumps)
  4. Basic Novice  / Novice B / Junior C (double Jumps & working on 2 A & triple jumps)
  5. Chicks / Novice C  (minimum all single jumps, axel and practicing /or including double jumps)
  6. Skaters from the age of 11 years old (only single jumps and practicing single axel and double jumps)

When signing up for the camp you must find the one that best describes you as a skater. Look at jumps AND age.

Group 6 - can land constantly and fully rotated all single jumps

Basic Novice/Novice C - has not reached the age of thirteen (13)
Intermediate Novice/Novice B - has not reached the age of fifteen (15)
Advanced Novice/Novice A - has reached the age of ten (10) and has not reached the age of fifteen (15) 


Practice:

Group 1 – 5:

  • Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (10 x 50 min.)
  • Skating Skills / Expression (5 x 50 min.)
  • Athletics (5 x 50 min.)


Group 6 :

  • Technique on ice, includes steps and spins (10 x 50 min.)
  • Athletics (5 x 50 min.)


The size of the groups for technique training on ice:
Our goal is to be no more than 6 athletes per coach but in some cases there might be more. The minimum size of each group is 4 and might be filled up with skaters from other groups.

In some cases the groups might be mixed.

Prices per group:

Group 1-5 

Price 533 Euro or 4.000 Dkk

Group 6

Price 440 Euro or 3.300 Dkk

Accommodation 

Accommodation needs to be booked separately and is not incl. in the camp price.

Insurance

Make sure that you bring your blue European health certificate. 


Responsibility

The organizer is not held liable for you or your health on or off the ice. All skaters who are under the age of 18 years should travel with a parent or guardian.
Younger skaters that are not able to tie their own skates should bring a parent to help them during the camp.
 

Cancellation

In case of cancellation, a written form is required. We will return 50% of the booking when the written cancellation is done 1/1 2025 – 30/04.2025.
After 01.05.2025 we will charge 100% of the booking. 

If you have to cancel due to injury then 75% of the booking will be returned but proof of injury have to be provided.

Photo and video

By signing up to the camp you also give us permission to take video and pictures and use it on social media.

Alina Mayer-Virtanen

Figure Skating coach

Alina Mayer-Virtanen is Master of Science in psychology. She was skating by herself for 24 years and represented Germany. The last few years of her skating career she skated at the international level in single skating. Alina is coaching single skating since 2013 in Oberstdorf-Germany and in Finland since 2017 as well. Alina is also coach on Ice Dome.

She speaks German, English and a bit of Finnish. 

 

 



Alexander König

Figure Skating coach


Alexander König is a German figure skating coach and former skater. He won bronze at the European Championships in 1988 and participated in three Winter Olympics. As a coach, he led Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot to an Olympic gold medal in 2018. Alexander is known for his ability to develop skaters' technical skills and performances. Alexander has coached in Berlin and Oberstdorf.

 

 

 

Jekaterina Nekrassova
 
 Figure Skating Coach

 

Jekaterina Nekrassova is an Estonian former pair skater and current coach. Together with her partner Valdis Mintals, she has won several Estonian national championships and competed at the World Championships and European Championships. Jekaterina is known for her dedication and ability to motivate and develop young skaters. 
It can also be mentioned that Jekaterina is the one who created Danish skater Camilla Poulsen's free program.

Isabella Piippo

Figure Skating coach

Isabella has competed in figure skating over ten years. She ended competing last spring and continued coaching this fall in Peurunka Skating Academy Laukaa. She also coached earlier during her own career.

Isabella speaks Finnish and English.

 

 





 


Travel to Copenhagen airport. The airport is only 20 kilometers from the rink. Transportation from the airport to Gentofte can be done by train.
